What makes Clean Laundry Co. different?

Clean Laundry Co. was created to make laundry feel a little less boring while using clean ingredients you can feel good about. Our formulas are made without harsh chemicals or phthalates, designed to be gentle on skin while still tackling everyday messes. And of course our scents are fresh, fun, and made to last without being overpowering.

What do you mean by "clean ingredients"?

We mean ingredients you can feel good about using in your home. Our formulas are made with thoughtfully selected ingredients that are safer for the environment and primarily derived from plants and citrus.

We focus on keeping things simple and effective, avoiding harsh additives while still delivering a powerful clean. We also take pride in using ingredients you can actually pronounce, because we believe you should know what’s going into the products you use every day.

What is SLSa?

SLSa (Sodium Lauryl Sulfoacetate) is a cleansing ingredient derived from plant sources like coconut and palm oils. It helps lift dirt and oils from fabrics so your laundry gets a thorough clean.

Despite the similar name, SLSa is different from SLS and is considered a gentler alternative. We include it in our formula because it’s effective while still aligning with our focus on clean, thoughtfully chosen ingredients you can feel good about using in your home.

What is Sodium Citrate?

Sodium Citrate is derived from citric acid, which naturally comes from citrus fruits. It helps soften water and allows the detergent to work more effectively, leaving your clothes cleaner.

What is Washing Soda?

Washing Soda (Sodium Carbonate) is a naturally occurring mineral that helps remove dirt, grease, and stains from fabrics. It also softens water, allowing the detergent to clean more effectively.

What do your scents smell like?

Will the scent stay on my clothes?

Yes! Our fragrances are designed to linger on fabrics after washing and drying, but they’re balanced so they don’t overwhelm your clothes or your space.

Is it safe for sensitive skin?

Our formulas are designed to be gentle and made without harsh ingredients like phthalates and other irritants. However, we always recommend testing a small amount first if you’re unsure.

What is in your scent blends?

We carefully and thoughtfully select our scent ingredients, using ingredients that are free from phthalates, parabens, and hormone-disrupting chemicals. Our blends are also designed to be as low-allergen as possible, so you can enjoy fresh, elevated scents without the harsh additives commonly found in conventional products.

We formulate well below the usage limits set by the International Fragrance Association (IFRA), following globally recognized safety standards to ensure our products are both effective and thoughtfully made.

How many loads are in a jar?

Each jar is designed to last you up to 30 loads.

Does it work in cold water?

Absolutely. Our formula is effective in cold or warm water, so you can wash however you prefer.

Do you ship?

We do! We currently offer Canada wide shipping. Rates are set by the carrier and vary by location. Free shipping on orders of 5 or more jars.
